This won’t rhyme.

Bill Shakespeare See this guy? He was good at rhyming so I don’t have to always do it.

I have decided to use this blog as a regular blog. Why? Because I am a fake student these days and need a way to waste time before I have no time left. All I currently have to say is that yesterday I decided to accept a position in the 2011 Teach for America corps as a Special Ed teacher in New York City. In honor of this step, I have coined a new word: excitified. I am both excited and terrified. More on this to come. Here’s looking at you, OED!

Aside from that, I spend my days drinking fine wines, wearing crushed velvet and reminiscing about the one I shouldn’t have let go but did because her father disapproved. Actually, mostly I just babysit a lot, do homework from time to time and hang out with my housemates.

I know have a job, so I beg one small thing
Why do I still have to endure all this academic sting?
If I failed out right now
I doubt they’d allow
Me to obtain a paycheck, quite the zing.

  1. WHAT HAPPENED TO MY SWEET GIRL? YAYAY NEW YORK

  2. Is that you in the picture?

  3. You don’t know me, but as of this month, I have been reading this blog for exactly two years – I have to say, I love this recent change of format. Don’t get me wrong, the rhyming is solid stuff, and I hope to see more. But I have been dying to learn more about the lady behind the limericks!!

Also, I don’t know what Teach for America is (you said “corps”…like the Marine corps?), but it is exciting that you will be living in New York next year!! From your blog, I gather that you are from there. I am trying to get a job there myself next year, so maybe we will meet up!!

  4. I’m such a creeper, but YAY/Congrats/Woo! You’re pretty much going to be excitified for the next two years. I cannot wait to swap teacher stories. Now, go live at Charleys!!
