Rebecca Egler is a high school history teacher in New York City a proud graduate from the University of Michigan, and originally of Brooklyn, NY. Both a chronic asthmatic and chronic camp counselor, she’s well aware of the faulty nature of this poetry. In terms of legitimate academia, she is currently pursuing a masters in education from Fordham University, and completed her undergraduate degree in History, with a minor in Community Action and Social Change, although she reserves the right for that to remain unstable. A good portion of her time at Michigan was spent working on schemes with the University of Michigan College Democrats, Voice Your Vote, Project Community, the ACLU and U-Go’s in the Union. A thrilling dip into the world of rhyme began most consistently two years ago as she became the chief (only) limerick contributor to the Michigan Dems’ blog, but the defense mechanism of rhyme has been in place both as a limerick author for the middle school newspaper as well as it’s tenure as a hearty distraction in her sophomore year health class. Due to an incapability to work on anything erudite (with a purpose) for more than 10 consecutive minutes, she has hopes that this blog will be updated frequently.
